The

NATIONAL COALITION OF VICTIMS IN ACTION

(NCVIA)

The NCVIA is a component of the Renée Olubunmi Rondeau Peace Foundation. Its purpose is to encourage victims of crime to become proactive for crime prevention and to support those victims already involved. We believe that this will bring enormous benefit to victims as well as to their communities.

Members of the NCVIA come together as a national force to provide services to victims of crime and their families. We hope thereby to raise public awareness of the effect of crime on victims and our communities, examine and support changes necessary to deal with the serious flaws in the criminal justice system, provide understanding and assistance to victims and survivors in recovery, and initiate programs related to the direct prevention of crime through long-term sustainable proposals and follow-up programs.
